Hause Johann was built in 1887 and was originally a guest house, during the postwar period the back of the house was used as a Temple for the Jewish people using the baths visiting the town until the early 70s. The house ran slowly down and was renovated in 2006 to its present form. Now holding 10 apartments and is used both for summer and winter to enjoy the fresh air of the Alps. The flat is located on the beginning of a walking trail with a beautiful walk along the side mountain into the Gastein Valley.This spacious and airy apartment, recently renovated in modern Austrian style, has everything you could want for your visit to Bad Gastein and has mountain views from all windows looking to Bad Gastein and the valley.
There are several options:
Airports: Munich or Salzburg, car rental available here, for fastest and easiest access.
By train: There is a trainstation located about 1 km from the apartment, which connects to Salzburg.
By Bus: the bus stop is only 100m from the apartment.

For tourist information the information point is located 100m up the street toward the Bad Gastein city centre.

The apartment is capable of sleeping eight persons; however, as there is only one bathroom; it is ideal for either a family, or three sets of couples, or potentially up to six adults and two children. Not recommended for 7 to 8 adults.
You need to bring your own sheets and towels, or you can hire them at €8 per person please let us know.
Washer/dryer: Can be used and cost 1€ pr. hour.
Please do not smoke wear shoes or have pets in the apartment.
Dishwasher Note: Please do not put knifes in the dishwasher and leave empty when leaving.
Skis and boots to be left in the ski room in the basement to be use inconjunction with the basement door.
When arriving the power is turned on/off by the power box in the hall. The water needs to be turned on in the bathroom under the sink (two number dials hot and cold).
If you have young children, there are two mattress protectors in the cupboard in the hallway.
Please fill free to use any kitchen supplies/ ingredients, and refill any empty ones.
Please do feel at home and treat it as such!
The apartment must not be used for anything other than living quarters for max .8 people.

Bring your own sheets and towels.
The key for the main door is retrieved at the key box at the basement door entrance down the steps. The code for the box are handed out before arrival. The key must be returned when leaving.
Car Parking is possible in front of the garage.
Ski & boots to be stored in the basement. No Ski & Boots on the stairway, hallway or in front of the door.
Pets are not allowed, except with the written consent of the landlord.
Waste must be sorted.
Cleaning of the premises is the tenants responsibility during the stay. Mandatory final cleaning is charge through the rent.
The Landlord takes no liability for sudden damage (installation failures and leaks, blocked drains etc) but will ensure that the damage is repaired as soon as possible after notification.
The tenant is liable to loss of furniture and damages caused during the rental period. Please check the Information book for the manifest of equipment and check the contents in the flat and let us know if anything is wrong . Any damage must be notified before departure to the landlord.
