Welcome to Sunny Shores!!! Below please find some details for to make your stay and check-in process simple. Please take some time to read through all of our notices below.
Directions: from I-95 take Commercial Blvd. exit and head East. Go over Intracoastal bridge and El Mar Dr. is on your RIGHT right after A1A/Ocean Dr. Take a right and we're down the street on the right hand side after you pass Datura Ave.
Checking In/Out: Check in is at 3pm and Check out is at 11am. When available, we try to honor late check outs or early check-ins but please understand this is based on availability only. Early check-ins before 11am and late check-outs after 2pm will be charged for a half day and after 6pm will be charged a full-day. No refunds for early departures.
Office Hours and Check-ins: Our office is located on the second floor at 4145 Bougainvilla Dr. We are open Monday- Saturday 9am-5pm, and closed on Sundays. If you are arriving after 5pm or on a Sunday, please make sure you fully understand our check-in process before you arrive. Units 1-5 use a code on the door which will be provided by e-mail the day prior to your arrival. Unit 6 is the only exception; please contact us prior to your arrival to arrange for your keys to be given to you. The 5% county tax (as mentioned in your room description) needs to be collected upon arrival. If you are arriving after 5pm or on a Sunday, please communicate a time that will be best the following day for us to collect your balance.
Emergencies: If you have an after hours emergency please call (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). Emergencies constitute: locked out of room, fire, water leaks, electrical shortage/failure (not power outtage), gas leaks, civil disturbances, injury, robbery, etc.
Parking & Visitors: Only one car per unit allowed. Parking pass must be on dashboard at all times and returned to unit before checking out. Any vehicle that is not displaying a permit will be towed at owner's expense. To ensure our guests enjoy their time with us, visitors are welcome but may not park on site, stay overnight and must vacate property by 8pm.
Additional Parking Options:
1. Asta Parking is a privately owned company with an overnight parking lot behind a closed restaurant called Jojo's Tacos (216 Commercial Blvd, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, FL 33308). You cannot pay for overnight parking by meter, it is by mobil application only. Download their app at (URL HIDDEN) and the lot code is 974. They charge $25 per 24 hours and their app will send a reminder to your phone to update every 24 hours.
2. A cheaper option, though 20 minutes driving distance, is (URL HIDDEN) You can make an overnight parking reservation online and they have 2-3 different garages downtown.
Housekeeping- Daily Housekeeping can be offered at a one time additional charge of $35 which can be requested and paid for on-sight. Complimentary Light housekeeping is offered 2x a week for stays longer than one week. If you need anything from housekeeping please call or text (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) with your room number, name of building and what your needs are (towels, toilet paper, etc). Any calls after hours (for toiletries, etc) will be handled first thing in the morning.
Laundry Facilities are on the North side of the building and it's the only door with a keypad similar to yours. The code to use the Laundry Facilities is 4213. There are coin operated machines for your use; we ask that you please lock it once you're done. We sell detergent pods for $1 each at the office at 4145 Bougainvilla Dr.
Occupancy: We allow 2 guests per room.
Tackling the humidity in Florida! Humidity is something all South Floridians battle with and the only way to keep the humidity out is to keep the doors closed and the fans/air conditioners running when it's above a sunny 75-76 degrees outside even if in a lower setting. The humidity is quick to creep indoors and will result in a musty smell over time so we do ask you help us maintain the rooms with continuous air flow in order to avoid this. If the temperatures dip into the low 70s or below we do welcome you to open windows and enjoy the fresh air!
WIFI: Complimentary- the password will be provided in the welcome pamphlet in your room.
All rooms are non-smoking; a $500.00 will be charged to guests who smoke in the rooms. Non-smoking areas are provided on balconies and outside areas.
No Pets allowed; a $500.00 deep cleaning and upholstery cleaning fee will be charged to guests who violate this policy and guests are to immediately vacate the unit without refund for unused time.
We work hard to provide you with clean, updated facilities and fresh linens and appreciate all you do to help us keep our property clean and free of damages. Inventory is taken before and after you check out and your account will be charged for missing/damaged property such as towels, dishware, sheets, TVs, furniture, etc.

I am retired from the advertising world and decided to turn a family hobby into a full time job. This is a family run business. We own several properties all along South Florida and have decided to list our properties at Lauderdale by the Sea here in order to welcome a new generation of guests into our town! :).
The properties featured in our listings are Sunny Shores considered "Inn/Vacation Suites". Sunny Shores has been a staple in our town for over 40 years and we've turned a great Inn into even a better one by updating all kitchens and decor over the summer and this summer we're taking it one step further and really capitalizing on it's modern retro outdoor look.
We don't have a lot of rules but what we do ask is for everyone to be respectful of each other's time away from home (see house rules).
We don't live on site but we live close enough and we're available for any questions you may have. We can't wait to welcome you into our neighborhood!
