We are rural with no neighbours, so ideal for those wanting to get away from it all, whether for respite or to chill out and have fun. Horses in next field in summer, chickens and ducks with young in summer and if you are an early riser you may see the deer.
We have a high standard of cleanliness and lift all rugs if dogs are staying or on request if hard of walking. We ask that anything broken or damaged be replaced or paid for. We ask that guests arrive from 4pm and vacate by 10am. High chair and travel cot given on request. Please bring own fishing equipment. Golf clubs supplied.
We moved to this village from London in 2008 to get away from it all. On our first Christmas we had an electricity cut and no heating. We did have a log burner but no wood. Some neighbours found out and brought a chain saw and logs up for us, what a welcome! We have since become part of this small friendly community taking part in local activities like hog roast, carveries, cheese & wine evenings and much more. Local bands of every kind at pub, summer fetes, movies in Palgrave village hall etc. We love it here and hope you do too.
