Our Barn is a restored 110 year old dairy in the Noosa hinterland combining rustic charm with contemporary style and comfort in a rural setting with views to the rolling hills and mountains and only minutes away from the famous Eumundi market town.
The Barn at Hill House is the result of a labour of love and an appreciation of 110 year old farming architecture and a celebration of dairy farming in the Eerwah Valley. The restored old dairy combines basic rustic charm with contemporary style and comfort in a rural setting with views to the rolling hills and nearby Mount Eerwah and Mount Cooroy. The Barn is separate from the main house and completely private.
The Barn includes
•a kitchen with quality appliances and commercial Cook-on oven
•a living area with comfy old leather couches and a glass fronted slow burning wood heater
•a dining area with our eclectic collection of chairs and table which seats 6
•a separate Bath House with semi outdoor bath and a composting loo with (much more than) a view
•a veggie garden with fresh greens and herbs for picking.
•a separate bedroom furnished with a Queen sized bed, beautiful linen, romantic canopy and hand crafted timber furniture.
•a double sized daybed off the living area
•an office space off the living area
•a sun filtered shady courtyard for a cup of tea under the Bunya trees
•a lawn with a stone fire circle where you can have an open fire to sit around under the stars.
The Barn has a unique charm and character and is a fantastic place to spend a few days or a week but it is a recycled barn with lots of recycled materials and elements and a tin roof. Expect it to be a little different.

We are generally nearby for as much or as little interaction as is required by our guests. We have provided a separate driveway and car park for the barn for your privacy.

We want you to relax and have a special time. The barn is however quite old and rustic. Some parts are a bit creaky, recycled or bespoke. We ask that you respect that not everything is slick and sturdy. So in the case of closing a door, or keeping one open to be mindful of securing it to avoid wind damage.
It is very important in stormy or windy weather that the barn is closed up to avoid damage.
We expect that you will respect our neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum in the hours that are likely to cause them disturbance.
We expect that you will respect our privacy and not venture into the paddocks surrounding the barn yard and to communicate with us via text.
For you own safety do not venture into the paddocks of the neighbouring farm. Many of our fences and our neighbours fences are electric and can be extremely dangerous
Please park in the car park in front of the Love sign not on the lawn in front of the barn entry.
Sometimes our front gate will be closed to stop horses or cattle getting out. Please leave the gates as you find them and if necessary close them after you.
There are only a few not negotiable rules. Strictly no smoking inside the barn and absolutely no parties.
We are very serious about keeping the barn for intimate gatherings of no more than 4 people. Please contact me directly if you have any requests outside of this.

Local for 20 years, a mum, a wife, grew up on Lake Macquarie and in the Hunter Valley, appreciator of locally grown organic food and locally made products and art, music, the outdoors, regularly attend and volunteer at Woodford Folk Festival, enjoy a road trip out west and sitting around a fire with a nice glass of red. As a host I am the queen of atmosphere, as a guest I like to always be welcome back. Its important to me to have everything I need so I don't need to go anywhere after I arrive. I am more than happy to give advice on where to get the best local supplies and who makes the best coffee.
