Pros- John is easy to communicate with, always available if you need anything. We had to ask for many things and they were quite nice about it. The apartment has decent size(for two people). Quiet neighborhood, short walk to the seaside and 10m walk to bus station and supermarket.
Cons: Might be fine for short stay but not suitable for long terms(we stayed for over a month).
Many basic things are not sufficiently equipped- there were no mugs, glasses, plates, dish washing liquid etc. when we checked in (we were only provided with plastic cups& paper plates). Later we asked for some mugs & plates and were provided 3 mugs, two plates, and two bowls. In our entire 38 nights of stay, we only had two forks and two spoons to use. We had to ask for toilet paper twice because we were not given enough.
Not very private: the apartment is adjacent to the main house and was separated by a door leads to (I think) their kitchen. We can hear talking, even bathroom noise some times.
Need some cleaning- quite a lot of dust under the bed and in the closet (the bed is raised high so the dusty area are definitely reachable). Kitchen cabinets are massy. Washing machine needs a clean(washed clothes are often attached with dust coming out from the washing machine).
