The perfect location for exploring The Lake District. Newly renovated, a 200yr old former Coach House with oak beams, woodburning stove, fully fitted kitchen with coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave etc and a gorgeous private lawned cottage garden with patio & BBQ. Peace and tranquility. Perfect for couples, families & dogs. Walks and bike rides from the door. We are on the edge of the national park and less than 30mins from Windermere. Only 10mins from the M6. Free wi-fi and central heating.
We have lovely comfy beds sleeping 5 people in 3 bedrooms; a king, a twin, and a small single. The large living room has a leather Chesterfield, separate sofa and single armchair where you can sit and watch the cows and sheep come to say hello at the bottom of the garden. There is a delightful sunroom with south facing views over the garden and the fields beyond. The modern kitchen is complete with integrated dishwasher, oven and fridge, a microwave, nespresso coffee machine and USB points for your tablets and phones, in short everything you should need. The utility room has a fridge freezer, washing machine and loads of secure space for bikes and muddy boots. Upstairs, the bathroom has a freestanding double ended bath made for two, and a separate invigorating shower. Treat yourself to a luxurious bath, then snuggle up in front of the woodburner with a good book and glass of bubbles. You deserve it.
Outside, there is a patio area with table and chairs, and a BBQ. Beyond the patio is a large lawned cottage garden with mature trees. Beyond the garden are open fields.
Central heating and wifi is included, as are towels and all bed linen.
We have parking for a couple of cars. Access to the downstairs is level with no steps apart from a single step between the living room and sun room. The bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs. There is a single flight of stairs with a hand rail. Access to the patio and garden from the house involves a couple of steps.
We only live a couple of miles away so are on hand to deal with any queries or advice you might need; from choosing a fell walk in the Lakes to asking about the best places to eat.
We have loads of information in the cottage and lots of books to read if you prefer a lazy day to sit in the beautiful garden with a nice glass of wine.
You can arrive at any time after 4pm; there is a keycase in the porch so you can let yourself in when you arrive. If there are no guests leaving on your arrival day we may be able to agree an earlier arrival time with you. We will send you the key code a couple of weeks before your visit.
