Our house is an easy stroll or bike ride to a delicious meal at Nate's Trick Dog Cafe, great coffee and more at The Local, and the various dining options at The Tides Inn.

Enjoy history? Walk to The Steamboat Museum. Historic Christ Church is one of the oldest churches in the nation and is just a short drive. There are many other historic sight nearby.
Rent a boat for fun or fishing. Golf at one of the famous local courses, The Golden Eagle, or the King Carter Golf Course.
The first Saturday of the month, Irvington hosts a wonderful and award winning (Best of Virginia, Virginia Living Magazine) Farmer's Market in the town square and yes, you can walk there as well! An open air market featuring farm fresh produce and meats, crafts, plants, art, jewelry and something for everyone. There are other markets in nearby towns as well.
Two miles to the east is the wonderful town of White Stone. Stop in at White Stone Wine and Cheese, Bentley's Restaurant, or shop for fashionable clothes and accessories at Farm. Take scenic Windmill Point Road to Westland Beach -- enjoy drinks and watch the sunset over the Rappahannock River and Chesapeake Bay.
Kilmarnock, VA is about a seven minute drive. There are great high end and casual restaurants there as well: Town Bistro, Roses Steak and Seafood, Thai Pot, Carried Away Cuisine, Savannah Joe's Barbeque, and The Car Wash Cafe. Great antique stores, upscale shopping and RAL -- the Rappahannock Art League Gallery are all worth a visit.
The Northern Neck is known for its festivals, parades and events. All summer long there are things to do and see. The Fourth of July features local small town parades with vintage cars and fire engines. The Irvington Parade goes right by the house.

Irvington is charming and friendly. It's the kind of place where strangers wave hello and it's fun to see people on golf carts driving up and down the streets! It's also a great place to get away from the stress of city life. Even though the area is rural, there are good places to eat, and things to see and do that one might not find in other rural areas. It's also a wonderful place to get in touch with nature -- many parks and trails and natural areas.
It's easy to walk to pretty much everything in this charming, small town. There is even a great winery right up the road. The adjacent towns of Kilmarnock and White Stone are just a short bike ride or drive away. There is no public transportation per se, although there is a trolley in the summer months that runs between Irvington, Kilmarnock and White Stone.
There is a two day minimum for bookings. Holidays and summer months may require a booking of at least three to four days. We do not rent to individuals/groups under the age of 24.
Our guest have access to the ENTIRE house, outdoor patio and our half acre yard, making our Airbnb a truly great value. Why stay in a room in someone's house when you can have complete privacy? Hang out on our patio and enjoy your coffee in the morning or wine at night! We have a coffee maker and a French Press in the kitchen, and DirecTV on two TVs and a third TV has Netflix. We also provide WiFi for your convenience.
We are available by text, phone and email to assist you before and during your stay. You will enjoy privacy, as we do not live on or near the property, unlike many other nearby listings. We enjoy privacy when we travel and are happy to be able to offer it to you.

Please note that linens and towels are provided but that guests are responsible for make the beds and leaving used linens and towels in the laundry room at the end of their stay. Dogs are considered on a case-by-case basis. We charge a $50 pet fee per pet (this is a one time fee, not per day, which is very reasonable) Please clean up behind pets inside and outside, if The pet fee will be sent as a separate fee, per Airbnb.
Please come and enjoy yourself! No smoking is allowed in the house. We must limit the number of guests to four persons. It is in a residential area, so please respect our neighbors. Well behaved dogs are welcome at an additional charge. We have a common sense rental agreement that we ask our guests to sign prior to renting the house. Thanks!
We are an eclectic urban couple -- we love city life, and also enjoy getting away from it all. When we travel, we like having access to natural beauty, good food, and scenic drives. The Irvington area offers all these things and more!
