This is a very RARE find due to the fact that its budget-friendly and makes you feel at home.
Everyone knows that New York can be expensive in all aspects especially for a tourist, but this place saved me. I only stayed for 2 days but Han's place made it worth it.
Han is easy to talk to, she doesnt hover (which I like) meaning she lets you be coz she knows she provided you with everything you could possibly need, and she's very patient. I told her my estimate time getting to her place would be a 1pm. But the traffic was so bad, I got there at 2:30. But she was ok with it. Its all about being in touch with your host.
This place is along 10th and 46th. Your key landmark is the Village Care Center if you feel like youre getting lost if youre walking and its right next to automotive repair shop. But dont worry! Its definitely not noisy and doesnt smell like gasoline or cars. Its coz the apartment's windows are super closed shut and Han keeps her place nice and clean and smelling good. It has a very relaxing atmosphere and totally easy for anyone to navigate thru.
The Micro rooms are good for one person. Its seperated like cubicles which means that there's enough space needed giving you ample privacy however the walls dont reach the ceiling. Its because the AC is strategically placed to keep everyone in their micro rooms cool all at the same
time. So, you would hear your fellow roommates make a little noise here and there, but it was ok. But its best to make phone calls in the living room or downstairs outside the complex. Its
Her bathroom and kitchen is super clean and homey too. She provides towels, shampoo and conditioner and soap.
The place itself is pretty near to most key places and subways to getting around is a breeze if youre into WALKING a lot. You got Times Square, the Broadway theatres, Restaurant Row, Fashion District, Madison Square Garden, Penn Station, Empire State Building, Madam Tussauds, Port Authority Terminal and Subway Stations if you want to head to Uptown or Lower Manhattan. I repeat, if youre into WALKING AT LOT and spending the whole day exploring with time constraint, this place is the place for you.
If you need to do your laundry, I recommend that you go to Washland on 47th St which is about 2 blocks-ish away.
All in all, I totally love and recommend this place!
