It has a beautiful Parish Church called St.Helen's (which is said to have the most elegant spire in Lincolnshire.)
There is a pub called the Generous Briton, a campsite, a Weslyan Chapel, a Heritage Room and a Village Hall which hosts various activities.
There are about three buses a day into Newark and Lincoln and other connecting services to the attractive Wolds area.
The Generous Britain pub is open up until 9pm serving good food only a few doors down. Closed Sunday evening. (Tel: (phone number hidden))

We enjoyed our stay here at this interesting property in a pretty village. Room as described. Very comfy bed. Great shower. Our son loved the garden and feeding the hens. Breakfast was an unexpected treat - thank you! Enjoyed the chat about restoration of the property and the plans for the future - inspired us to get on with a few jobs at home and not complain about it!!
Well located not far into Lincoln with it's beautiful cathedral and old quarter. Secure parking for car and bikes on a night time. Would stay again. Recommend to anyone.
It was a joy to stay with Zannah and Arthur this week. They were both very welcoming and went out of their way to look after me....The room is huge with a comfortable bed and nice bedding and sofa/chair and table to sit at; the bathroom is equally large with a dressing area and powerful shower. Cereal, toast and fresh coffee for breakfast were provided by Zannah whilst I chatted to the children. A real home from home experience. Perfect thank you!
This place is incredible and the welcome is second to none. Zannah and her family are so accommodating and the room itself is exquisite. It is quite some project that they are taking on here and fascinating to talk to them about their plans for this historic house.
The bed is the most comfortable you will ever stay in. Wonderful!
Excelente alojamiento en un entorno encantador. La casa tiene mucho carácter y la habitación es bastante espectacular. La acogida de Zanah fue amable y discreta. Desayuno escueto. Buena dirección.
Lovely host and family! Great bed in quiet room which was exactly what we wanted.
We had a nice one night stay. Loved the comfy bed and all the space. The Generous Briton pub next door is also very handy for dinner. Zannah was very welcoming and especially looked after our baby daughter's needs which was very kind.
Zannah, Arthur and the children were very welcoming. The Old Hall is in a pretty village. The Hall itself is in the midst of a vast renovation project, which is interesting to learn about. But the guest room is large, fully completed and has beautiful furniture.

We are in our 30s and live in a village called Brant Broughton.
We offer guests a room in our 200-yr old cottage that we've made as efficient as possible and used lots of natural materials. Plus rooms in a 17th Century house that many years ago was an old boys school with an annexe "The Buttery" and huge gardens.
We have a seven year old son who can be very very very quiet in the mornings and a two year old who, so far is sometimes not quiet, but we'll make sure doesn't disturb you!
