My place is close to town, but has a country vibe. You’ll love my home because of the location, less than one mile from highway on a main road and short drive to downtown & beaches as well as access to outdoors activities such as kayaking and canoeing. My place is good for singles, couples and furry friends (pets).
There are two shared bathrooms--one full downstairs & one half bath upstairs.
My home is an 1860s Greek Revival with a 1910 ell addition that is now the dining room & kitchen. This bedroom in on the ground floor and was once upon a time the front parlor.
Drapes and blinds keep the light out for a sound sleep.
As our guest you will have access to the ground floor common areas.
Weather & temperament permitting, you can take our canoe or kayak for a paddle on the pond.
I will be home to greet you upon arrival (check in between 4 & 10 pm). Feel free to text me if you have a question or need something during your stay.
Let me know your coffee preference and I'll set up a pot for you. Or we can chat over coffee and some fresh eggs from our hens.

I am an avid gardener and cook. A restauranteur, chef & baker in a former life, I am always on the go these days as a teacher and mom of three active kids.
When you visit my home, I want it to feel like you are staying with friends not in a stripped-down, generic rental. There are cooking supplies to use in the kitchen--no need to bring your own garlic, olive oil or pink salt. Help yourself to some vegetables & herbs from the garden. Make a bouquet of flowers.
I've traveled quite a bit, from Algeria to Argentina including Eurorailing & staying in youth hostels as a college student studying abroad. I like to live like the locals wherever I am.
