We had a wonderful few days at this very quaint little cottage on Devil’s Lake. The sleeping porch is perfect for, well…. sleeping, of course, but also for morning conversations overlooking the lake. You can tell the place has been well cared for for decades. Even though it’s original, the interior is not moldy or musty in any way. Very clean and comfortable. Only thing I would recommend is that if you’re planning to do any from-scratch cooking, you may want to bring some of your own pots and utensils as the kitchen is stocked with just the essentials. The neighbors are very friendly, the owner family very responsive. I had to call the owner because we had an issue trying to operate the grill, plus we were lacking a can opener. The family came right over and they were very helpful and friendly. The reason I chose this place is because dogs are allowed, and my old dog had the time of his life. There were beautiful, well-behaved dogs at one of the adjacent properties and the human parents were very responsible, so for a dog lover like me, that was a delight. I would definitely go back again. This is the perfect little place to relax and regroup with friends or family. The whole Irish Hills area has a great vibe.
