Hi Joe and good that you mentioned this. Yes, the whole area around Gualala struggles with spotty cell reception and wifi is hard to come by (despite poor cell coverage, the only public place we know of that has wifi is Trinks, which is a great place to go!). The supposed high performance super expensive wifi we pay for at home is not even 100% reliable (and it is double the cost of high speed wifi in San Fran). It is just part of the downsides of being in a remote town...that said, we have not had many issues over the 4 years we have lived there, but it has been less good recently for some reason. Sometimes weird weather makes it go out for the whole town and it is usually back on fairly quickly. However, yes, if you are planning to work up here, at any hotel or public place, or to spend time on your phone, the available service is not like what we are used to in the cities - so do beware of that! Thanks again.
