Bring your horses and bikes! A serene 10-acre retreat with amazing views! Just a 15-minute drive to The SF Plaza. Direct trail access to the Galisteo Basin Preserve and the SF Rail Trail (with miles of trails for biking, hiking, and horses). Very comfortable home, with a well-equipped kitchen, a private bedroom with a plush king size bed, and 2 patio areas. Ample parking for RVs and horse trailers and 3 horse stalls available. A grocery store, pub, restaurants & shops are just down the road!
This nearly 900 sq ft magical and peaceful place is perfect for a quiet retreat, or for the outdoor enthusiast. It is also ideal for a writer, artist, or those wanting to just relax and get away from it all. It is very private, and the only action you might see or hear is the nearby wildlife (birds, rabbits, coyotes... and an occasional neighbor going by on horseback). It has gorgeous views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains and the constantly changing skies. Sit back and watch the storms come in, the beautiful sunsets, and the millions of stars at night!
The house sits on 10 acres and is completely private. I live next door which is a separate address, and a good distance away.
The guest house is very comfortable, with a well-equipped full-size kitchen (with a gas range, dishwasher, full-size fridge, microwave, wine fridge, a Keurig coffee maker with coffee pods, plenty of cookware & dishes, and basic pantry items - If you should need any special kitchen equipment I love to cook and am happy to share what I have). There is also a dining area with seating for 4, and living room with a woodstove with firewood provided, and a streaming TV with access to Netflix, Amazon, etc... along with iPod-ready speakers for music. The spacious private bedroom has a plush king-size bed with new high-quality bedding and is connected to the bathroom with a shower and tub plus a washer and dryer. There are two outdoor patio areas with an outdoor fireplace, and ample parking with room for RVs, or horse trailers (with 3 empty horse stalls). If you are traveling with pets, an additional fee of $20 per pet/per night will be applied to the nightly fee (this fee will be reduced with stays longer than one week).
A well-stocked supermarket is just up the road, along with a brewpub, several restaurants, a cafe, quaint shops, and a gas station. The Pecos River is also just a short drive away, and a beautiful place for a picnic, a hike or fly fishing.
The entire guest house is yours, along with the outdoor spaces and trails.
I live next door and will be available to quickly answer any questions.

I’m originally from Portland, Oregon, but have called Santa Fe home since 2000. I have loved New Mexico ever since I first came here on a vacation with my family when I was very young - New Mexico stayed with me and I couldn't wait to return! I am also an artist and was attracted to the amazing art scene, and the rich culture and history - and I couldn't wait to escape the Pacific Northwest very rainy skies in exchange for the yearly 300+ days of sunshine a year!
I still love Portland, but feel lucky to live in such a unique and magical place!
I am also ‘mom' to 2 awesome boys, and small business owner. I love art, music, cooking, and exploring and learning new things. I am new to the Airbnb community, and think that offering my Santa Fe property for others to enjoy will be an exciting new adventure!
