I could write volumes about how great this trip was for our group. The photos do not do this home and property justice. There were 9 of us staying at the lake house, 4 adults and 5 children. The house is roomy enough for all of us to not feel like we are on top of each other. Most of the bedrooms are on the top floor: 3 upper bedrooms, one w/ a queen bed, one w/ a full bed and one w/ both twin bunk beds and a youth bed. There is one larger bedroom on ground floor w/ a queen bed and crib (also floor space large enough for an air mattress). There are two full baths, one on each level. The upstairs great room is large and airy. It includes a very comfortable memory foam pull out bed. The house is super clean from top to bottom, the laundry room and washer/dryer are clean, easy to use and work well. The kitchen table was large enough with the leaf to hold all of us for meals. There are plenty of pots, pans, utensils etc. available for cooking at home. Danny's farm and home are out of sight, but a few minutes walk up a black top driveway.. Danny's farm is clean and beautiful. The cows and pigs are happy and healthy. We ended up picking up organic, grass fed black angus beef and berkshire pork to cook at the house and lots more to take home. The ribeyes we barbecued for dinner were fantastic as was the thick cut bacon we had for breakfast. The lake house is set up high on a hill. The lake itself is down a moderate incline from the house. It is a few minutes walk from the house, or you can drive down a gravel path to access the boats. The lake has 3 rowboats (and 6 child life vests). The property is secluded enough for privacy, but close enough to be able to drive a few minutes in any direction for shopping. The Crayola factory is about 40 minutes away. We had a wonderful, fun filled woodland adventure. Each morning we woke up to deer running across the property. The kids loved the swing sets and had a blast rolling down the big hills. Each night we made s'mores at the large fire pit. Danny is an attentive host, he goes above and beyond. It is obvious that he takes pride in his farm and the property. We look forward to coming back to visit again.
