My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The house is located in the traditional neighborhood of Riverside Terrace, 2 miles away from the Medical Center and 2.2 miles from Downtown. The MetroRail line and most museums are within walking distance. The room is quiet with access to a bathroom shared with a guest from a second room also listed. The owner has a very friendly, medium size dog in the house. Pet friendly guests are welcome.
The room is truly spacious, and suited with a comfortable king-size bed, a desk, and a comfortable corner chair for a pleasant book reading.
Shared bathroom. Internet access. Large walk-in closet.
As often as the guest requires it.
ACTIVATING THE ALARM: You will be provided with a key to the front door and an alarm key. The house alarm must be set on STAY mode each time the guest leaves the house. There is an $80 replacement charge if the alarm and front door keys are lost.
DOING LAUNDRY: The washer and dryer are available for you to do laundry at the house. All you need to do is to buy your own laundry detergent and softener. Please mark your detergents with a sharpie you can find in one of the kitchen drawers.
HOUSE CLEANING: Every other Monday, a cleaning lady comes to the house to do a general cleaning. On those days please ensure that you allow her access to your room. She begins working on the house regularly at 8AM when she comes. I do some light cleaning to the rooms in between general cleanings and remove the bed sheets. All beds will be stripped, and the bed linen washed and replaced during my cleaning.
USING THE KITCHEN: You are more than welcome to use the kitchen for your own cooking. You can buy groceries and store them in the refrigerator. The kitchen has a sharpie that should use to mark your food. When you are done with your dishes and cooking ware, please rinse them in the kitchen sink and place them in the dishwasher. Please ensure that the counters and stove remain as clean as you found them.
EATING IN YOUR ROOM: PLEASE…Do not take food into the rooms. No chips, cookies, prepared foods, etc. Food scraps will attract all sorts of crawlers and no one likes to sleep with those in their bedrooms.
HAVING VISITORS AT THE HOUSE: Lastly, and for security purposes, there is a NO-VISITOR policy in the bedrooms unless they are in your reservation. ALL VISITORS that come to visit you MUST remain in the living room of the house. This is a 90-year-old house and the doors do not have locks since the original hardware was preserved. I do not want people unfamiliar with the house / rooms wandering accidentally into someone else’s room. It has already happened and it was not pleasant, so I ask that you please adhere to this requirement.

I’m a native of Colombia, but have lived in the US for already 16 years. I speak Spanish, Portuguese and English. I am also a sales manager for an oil & gas services company. I’m well-travelled, enjoy experiencing other cultures, traditions, foods, etc. When it comes to traveling, I have a personal travel goal and it is to hit every country in South America in the next couple of years.
I’m also a very neat person, so on weekends you will see me ensuring the house is clean and organized, so my guests can have a comfortable stay. I consider myself a very outgoing and friendly person, with a passion for baking.
