Close to Breckland & Thetford forest and RSPB nature reserves at Lakenheath famous for Bitterns and Stone Curlews at Weeting. Cycling is popular.
Big skies where the stars are visible on a clear night. The village has three pubs, with real ale, pool tables and food. There is a post office and a few shops. Our house is over 230 years old with loads of character. There is a woodburner in the lounge. It has a walled garden. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
The double room is really meant for a couple with one child, a baby can also be accommodated if they sleep with parents or in a cot - though I will need time to arrange the cot.
Travellers are welcome to use the kitchen as long as they clear up after themselves and I have shown them how to use the facilities.
We do not have a television set.
We have wi fi which guests are welcome to use during their stay.
The lounge is a shared space which guests are welcome to use.
I am around most of the time so will help if I can.
- If you need a cot or extra bed for a child please ask
- Smoking is allowed in the conservatory but not in the rest of the house.
- Well behaved dogs are welcome if they are child and cat friendly - this is really important as three children and two cats live here. Please bring their bedding as they will be offered space to sleep in the conservatory. Also please clean up after them. Please ask before booking if you intend to bring other pets or animals thank you.
