Have a pleasant stay in our lovely spacious guest studio with a private bathroom, sitting area and supplies for breakfast. A nice place for families or guests visiting Groningen professionaly.
Our guest studio is fully equipped. The studio is situated on the first floor of our house. Front door, hallway and staircase are shared, but the studio is completely private.
The studio has 4 (or 5) sleeping places: a comfortable double bed, two platforms with single beds for kids or adults, and a single sofa bed.
There is a kitchen counter with fridge, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and a dining/work table. We provide a modest breakfast for the first morning.
A door in the studio gives you acces to a private bathroom with a great shower, sink and toilet.
In the lounge you'll find a TV with Dutch and some international channels and a classic Pong game from the 80s.
Our guests can relax in a private corner in our garden. There is a small wood stove with firewood and a hatchet. A fun playhouse in the garden is open for visiting children. If the weather is nice we hang a hammock for you to doze off in.
For a small fee, our washing machine and dryer can be used by guests staying for a longer period. Just ask us.
We like to welcome our guests personally upon arrival, to show you around and hand you the keys. If you have any questions or requests during your stay: we are available on site early in the morning and after dinner time (18h30). Outside of these hours you can always call us for questions and tips.
We are a family of four. Together with our two sons of 8 and 10 yrs we live and work in Groningen. Wemke loves to work out, get outdoors or tend the garden and Jascha likes to visit the center of town and the marketplace to get ingredients for home-cooking. Our eldest son is the inventor of the family and the youngest the artist.
Our shared project was to turn our studio into a great place for guests and friends. We love meeting people from all over the world. In January 2017 we welcomed our first guests. Since then we have hosted guest from as far as Hawaii, Mexico and The Philippines but of course also from The Netherlands.
