Just one hour train ride to Munich.
The apartment is located between the alps and lake Chiemsee. You can easily access both by bike or car, or even on foot. Munich is about an hour by train or car and Salzburg about 45 minutes. A train station is close by (8min walk) to get there. Food shopping and restaurants are both in walking distance and there's even a pub in our small town. The apartment is on the ground floor, so wheelchair access is given (bathroom is also accessible by wheelchair. The terrace invites you to have a BBQ there while enjoying the mountain view. There's a little creek running along our garden which is great fun for kids and there are miles and miles of forests and fields to walk, run and cycle. Mountainbiking, hiking, rock climbing, sailing, windsurfing, SUP and swimming a just some of the manifold activities the surrounding offers. In case of bad weather, there are also plenty of indoor activities available such as a public swimming pool with sauna, a rock climbing hall, indoor tennis courts etc.
We're happy to help you out with good advice and anything else you need during your stay. We're a family of five (three kids) and there's almost always somebody present. We speak German, English, a little Spanish and a little French.

I'm a teacher for English and construction at a vocational high school and also a passionate woodworker/ cabinetmaker. I enjoy travelling as far as it is possible with three boys aged 3-12. I live in the country, between Munich and Salzburg close to beautiful lake Chiemsee right at the Bavarian Alps. I do all kinds of outdoor sports such as hiking, cycling, jogging, sailing and I enjoy hosting guests at my apartment. Airbnb for me is a wonderful invention, both as a guest and as a host.
My motto is: Live and let live.
