Recommended for couples or solo travelers looking for a tranquil but not isolated retreat. Especially recommended for nature lovers, hikers and well-trained cyclists.
You'll stay in a typical stone house, in a tiny rural village surrounded by forests. A few kilometers from Siena, it is perfect also for one-day trips exploring this beautiful part of Tuscany: S.Galgano and the Sword in the Stone, Monteriggioni, S. Gimignano, Volterra, thermal baths and a fresh river at Petriolo, the nice trails of the Val di Merse and Farma, to give a few examples.
The access will be granted to all the common spaces: living room, kitchen, dining room.
Guests can also use the dish washer and the washing machine.
I can be a sociable presence or discreet.
Surely, you can rely on me or some trusted neighbour should you need anything.

Given my position in the countryside, a private mean of transport is recommended.
Cars and motorbikes can be safely parked on the road (small, local road with little traffic).
If you have bicycles, you can bring them up to the veranda.
I am a biologist, I've worked as ornithologist in Italy, Greece and Georgia, as well as a guide in a few botanic gardens. I have lived also in the UK as an intern at the Kew Gardens. I love wandering outdoors, exploring new places and getting in touch with the locals. I love guiding people in the places I know.
I love reading (Cien años de soledad, Foundation, White Fang, Storie Naturali, Fahrenheit 451 are among my favourite books).
I like cinema, and I'd love to do theatre but I'm never long enough in the same place to attend a course or take part to a company.
