Regarding the review of Julien:
in the world, like it or not, there are precise rules for peaceful coexistence!
Especially in a small community like a hostel.
The staff and I, as head of the hostel, we have repeatedly received complaints about the behavior of Julien.
Regarding the attitude of the guest in the room (noises at night, mess etc ...) in the common areas (living room) we found him several times to bivouac on the sofa with dirty feet on the table, where guests usually lay drinks or glasses of water. Not to mention the kitchen… he never cleaned after use, thus forcing unpaid cleaning staff to provide this service.
On several occasions the staff (receptionist and cleaning staff) pointed out to me non-compliant and unpleasant attitudes from this guest, bound, once again, to arrogant and rude attitudes (especially when the staff made observations to him).
At the height of all this, offending the sensibilities of other guests, He smoked illegal substances, stating that it was “legal hemp”, just in front of the hostel.
We do not enter into personal matters related to the habits of each individual, but in our regulation it is clearly stated that it is not allowed to make use of drugs within the hostel and in the areas annexed to it.
I treated this guest not rudely, even though I received many affronts from him, but I was strict, because, as responsible of the hostel, i have to keep order, doing everything possible to offer a pleasant stay to all guests.
We are a kind and courteous staff because we like our job.
