The odd smell is from the timber that was used to construct the home, placed one by one, with a crane. They were repurposed from train tracks in California back in the 60's, and they might smell ... but, they will never have termites! (Always a silver lining!) Having lived in that home for many years, over the years, I have found that the best way to hide the smell, was to cook delicious food. (We also try to run an air machine, but that has to be run with caution... and not too long). So, that being said.... we are glad that you and your family enjoyed the Goodfellow House. We apologize for the smell, but can't really do much about it! And, fortunately, it wont hurt you--and we have lots and lots of fresh air out here on the ranch!
