I'm sorry you felt your experience with our place was less than stellar. As is evident from the many excellent reviews we've gotten, we don't take hosting lightly. I'll address each issue to add a bit of balance to what you've written.
We ordered two air conditioners and were guaranteed they'd arrive by a certain date and unfortunately they did not. We take responsibility for that. However, they were available the day you checked in and we made every effort to get them installed so you'd be comfortable in the apartment. We did not need you in the apartment while we installed the air conditioners, as we made clear to you. The installers are part of my maintenance team, so there weren't going to be individuals that I did not know or trust in my apartment. You were adamant that they could not come in unless you were there. That made it difficult to get the job done as you didn't offer many options.
We certainly did not expect you to sit in the apartment waiting for installers on your vacation. That could have been resolved the very first day if they'd be allowed to do their job.
This is the first that we've heard from you that there were cleanliness issues with the unit. As you did not bring this up with us prior to your ongoing complaint about the air conditioners, I'm not able to address this other than to say it's never been an issue with our cleaners in the past, as is evident from other reviews.
If I'd known the view was an important aspect of your stay, I would have honestly told you that like many NYC apartments, our place is not street-facing. Perhaps in the future, ask hosts about the view if this is vital to you so you're not disappointed.
