Hope Cottage is in a peaceful village in the perfect location to visit the many attractions North Yorkshire has to offer . Parking is available outside the cottage, and the train station is a mile away. Whixley has an excellent local pub The Anchor Inn , other local eating establishments are within easy driving distance.

Mekân
Guests have full use of the kitchen, which comes equipped with all that’s necessary for a short stay. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, and towels and toiletries will be provided. The bedroom has a new king size bed , again with new top quality bedding. Downstairs the sitting room has a smart TV, radio, and selection of books, jigsaws, and cards. The small dining area is between the kitchen and sitting room.

The outside space at the rear of the cottage is totally private, reclining deck chairs are available, and it’s the perfect place to chill out with a glass of wine after either a busy day sightseeing or walking in The Dales.

The property is old, and full of character, the doors downstairs are low, and the stairs are narrow and steep , so not good for people with mobility problems.

This is my home , so please leave it as you found it.

Whixley is a lovely village, very peaceful, it has much to offer in terms of location, it has good transport links, including a local train a mile away at Cattal.

If you like walking I have very good books you can borrow for the surrounding area.

Hope Cottage is situated in a lovely quiet village, in a fantastic location for visiting York, Harrogate, The Dales, North Yorkshire Moors etc. I’m less than five minutes from the A1. The village has a small shop ( it just stocks the basics, ) and a good village pub The Anchor Inn , also The Victoria Inn at Cattal does excellent meals. I’m happy to do monthly stays with a generous discount, and it’s a cosy billet if you plan to work in the area . I’m available at short notice if you need any help , or advice about the area , although I still work several hours a week doing Farm Accounts in the district .I find been a Airbnb Host rewarding, and aim to keep my standards high , and give good service to my guests, in what I consider to be a home from home environment.

I can be reached by phone or email , although I live in the next village can be round to Whixley in ten minutes. Entrance to the property is by key safe at the side door ( which is easier to access then the front door). I will be round to introduce myself, and give any tips or advise at a time to suit.
