The pictures and description do not give justice to how stunning this space is. Quite literally at the end of the road, the area offers amazing views of both countryside and the lake. The larger side window in the living room is like looking out onto your own living Marvin Cone painting. The night we stayed there, a full harvest moon rose from behind the barn and lit up the lake. Can you remember the last time you walked outside at night and heard nearly nothing, AND you could see all the stars? This place will remind you how important that is, especially if you want to get away from the noise of the city for a day or two…or even longer. We wanted to stay longer. We didn't want to leave! Our hosts were incredibly accommodating, and Christie kept in touch with me for the week leading up to our arrival. Aside from the great night's sleep and a cozy bed, my favorite part was breakfast in the morning, in front of the big window overlooking the lake. My goodness...those rum cakes and fresh fruit! We languished after breakfast, played another game of Scrabble, and walked out to the lake hand-in-hand one last time. Everything was perfect. Christie, you and your lovely husband were wonderful and we will be coming back!
