The barn is attached to Croft Head, our lovely stone house in Aston, one mile from the village of Hope, with superb southerly views. It consists of a double bedroom, large sitting room, kitchen and shower room.
The barn is probably 19th century and is attached to our house. It has recently been converted into living space, comprising a large sitting room with wood burning stove, double bedroom and shower room on the first floor and a kitchen and hall on the ground floor. We use the accommodation at times for our own family but when we have guests we let guests use the large barn sitting room and we use the smaller sitting room in the main house. There is a television in the sitting room and Wi-fi access in the barn. The wood burner is very efficient but there is also gas central heating. There is ample parking space. The old beams give it character, but be aware that they are lower than the top of tall people's heads!
Guests will have access to all the rooms in the accommodation. The kitchen has an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge and storage space, ideal for guests who wish to cook for themselves.

When the barn is not let, we use the sitting room where we keep some books, DVDs and CDs and may wish to come into the sitting room to retrieve them during your stay. A hair dryer is provided.
Off season (Oct - March) discounts for third and subsequent nights available - please enquire.
We do expect our guests to keep our barn accommodation clean and tidy e.g. to take off walking boots and dirty outdoor shoes when you come in. No smoking or pets.
Please let us know if there are any breakages- we may need to replace something for future guests.
We are generally friendly people who enjoy company and hope to offer a warm welcome to guests. We would hope to be at home and available to answer questions and give information about the local area and walking possibilities. We can provide cereals, bread, tea and coffee for a first morning's breakfast by arrangement, so guests will not have to rush out and buy something but otherwise are not offering breakfast or meals. Where possible we would be happy to collect from the station on the first evening when guests are arriving on public transport.
