My wife, 10 year old son, and friend drove up to Oxford for the Ole Miss/LSU game, from Orlando, Florida. Sarah Beth was a wonderful hostess and greeted us, upon our arrival, as if we were old friends! Her home was just 3-5 minutes from Ole Miss (absent traffic), off of West Highway 6, yet was set back in a very quiet and beautiful woodsy area with gently sloping hills. Sarah Beth was always available by phone or text while we were there, and in fact joined us for dinner down on the square! My 10 year old had a blast exploring the woods and nearby cotton fields (he wants me to buy the house so he can live there!). Wild deer frequent the adjacent woods all around the house at night, which has the feel more like a comfy cabin. All of the necessities of home are there for use in the house, with full kitchen, bathroom, living room, 2 bedrooms, and even a grill for a cookout. The front patio deck, as shown in the picture, is perfect for relaxing in the fresh air! Active cotton fields were just harvested a few minutes walk south on the road leading to the house. The road to the house is paved, and the peacefulness of the visit to this awesome place will leave you reinvigorated! We stayed for 3 nights and slept very well! No hassles! You get the best of both worlds staying here: A quiet and private country setting shaded with tall oaks and other trees, yet just a short drive of a few minutes to all of the amenities and fun that Lafayette County, Oxford, and Ole Miss have to offer. It's also a little over an hour to Memphis. If you do stay here and need any up-to-date recommendations or suggestions for eateries or fun, Sarah Beth's a great help!
