Very well equiped apartment near Bairro Alto in the Old Center of Lisbon. Easy to access Elevador da Bica, Chiado and Downtown either by metro, bus or Tram. The famous Tram 28 passes on this very street, making it very easy to commute to the other hills of Lisbon, Alfama and Castle included. Cais do Sodré (Pink Street) and Mercado da Ribeira are a 10 minute walk from the apartment, so its very easy to get on the train to Cascais and its beaches, in 50 minutes.
Rua Poiais de São Bento connects Calçada do Combro (Which comes from Chiado) to São Bento, where the old Convent of Saint Benedict was located. Today, it is the Portuguese Parliament and it is a very imponent building. The Tram 28 crosses and stops on this street.
Supermarkets are nearby as well, having the Minipreço in Calçada do Combro, and another one in Rua de São Paulo. Grocery stores are open until late night around, near bairro alto. And even though it is very well located, since it is a 4th floor, it’s very good to get some rest and the end of a very tiring day. Please bear in mind there is no elevator.
