Walk through the locked majestic wooden gates to your private entrance. Stop and marvel at the Latin inscriptions insisted on by the minister of Finance for his home. Unlock your door and climb the wide spiral staircase to the first floor. The long bright corridor runs the length of the apartment and faces the courtyard shared by the 2 other resident families of the Hotel Particulier in their respective wings. Both the toilet and bathroom face into the courtyard. All other rooms face West onto Grande Rue.
The cosy sitting room has double doors going out onto the small balcony. it is furnished with a mixture of period and modern furniture. The 18th Century fireplace was installed when the building was renovated. The kitchen/dining area leads off from this traditional salon.
Sleeps 7. The two main bedrooms are extremely spacious, each with their own decorative fireplaces. Each has a double bed, made up with traditional linen sheets sporting beautiful embroidery and drawn thread work handed down through the owner's family. The second bedroom also has a single bed in it.
The twin room dormer bedroom is on the next floor and is positioned above the kitchen.

The elegant ground floor shop front below the bedrooms was the family Patisserie, It is now available for short term letting as well. The combination would be ideal for an artist/sculptor family to run a seasonal gallery.
There is plenty of roadside parking. Note, the side of the road for parking alternates each fortnight.
The owner (as was his father before him) was born in the North wing, which he now occupies with his Australian wife, Maureen. Robert would be delighted to offer his personal contacts/ addresses of his favorite haunts and first hand knowledge of the area with 120 years of his family history. As a bilingual couple, with "New and Old World" experience, they can provide a unique insight into the Loire Valley.

Main Market Day is Friday, with a small market each monday. The fresh produce including Sainte Maure Goat cheese is world reknowned.

An extra set of towels and linen will provided for stays longer than one week.
The Street Gates to the shared courtyard must be kept locked at all times.
Any deposit will be refunded in full if there are no breakages. I accept normal usage with normal wear and tear.
