At 2am an Airbnb representative helping the travelers, not Luke, called me, to help the travelers open the gate.
“Just went to a hotel”, although his review makes it seem like he was there Luke was not there he booked it for others. He first accused me of having other guests… Luke changed his wording from guests to guys after I messaged him. He changed his account name 2 days later to Luke’s Group (for airbnbn review policy?) and he changed it back.
I did not see 4 drunken guys; I do not know who he is referring to; I did see my neighbor, who had been giving advice to a friend the last few nights, and one other friend, total 3 guys they were quietly talking as it was 2am and neighbors would complain if otherwise. “Extremely cramped quarters” is a LIE! Not true, not that he would know because they did not come up and look or come inside; the interaction was less than 5 minutes in the parking lot.
Luke led the guys who were going to stay to believe it was the Entire Place. I met them downstairs in the parking lot, as we walked towards their car outside the gate to get their bags the guys staying said they had not seen any photos of the place and it not being the Entire Place was a problem. The listing clearly says “shared and has photos” to be able to make a decision when making a reservation.
I feel terrible for the travelers who got caught in the middle of some bad communication. I have been racking my brains to figure out what I could have done differently to have changed the outcome, it happened so quickly.
I did not star rate Luke due to the fact it was canceled and nobody came in or stayed.
