An additional third bedroom with a queen bed is automatically included in all reservations for 6 guests or more. For reservations with less than 6 guests, it can be added on by request ($15/reservation).
Goldfinch Cabin is outfitted with a kitchenette. This includes a coffee maker (of course!), a coffee bean grinder, a mini-fridge/freezer, a sink, a set of basic plates, bowls, and utensils, a cutting board, knife, and crock-pot. There is no oven or stove in this kitchenette.
The shower is in a separate room from the toilet and sink, making it easier for larger groups to share these spaces.

We pride ourselves on our VERY CLEAN cabin. Just check out our reviews!

Goldfinch is pet-friendly! Mostly we expect dogs, but cats may be welcome as well. If your pet is not house friendly (chewing, scratching, general chaos and destruction...) we ask that you kindly leave them elsewhere OR bring a kennel for their time in the house.
A $15 pet fee covers up to two pets for the entire duration of your stay. This fee is not automatically included by AirBNB in the reservation cost. Thank you for being honest and letting us know about your pet! You will be invoiced separately after your reservation is confirmed.
Guests have access to all areas photographed and mentioned. The additional bedroom is included automatically for reservations of 6 or more guests, or available by request for an additional charge of $15/reservation. All photos of the additional bedroom have descriptive text noting that it is the "additional bedroom" so you can know which one that it is!
Goldfinch is a vacation cabin. There are no permanent residents, only renters! We are happy to give activity and restaurant recommendations for the area via email or phone, but you will likely be checking in and checking out without ever meeting us. The keys will be left in a lock box at the front door so you may come and go as you wish.
If you need us during your stay, we are best reached by phone. We try to be available as often as possible, but sometimes we are hiking, eating supper, or otherwise unavailable. Leave a message and we will return your call shortly :)
We are also reachable by email. There are times that we do not check our email each day, so for immediate requests please call. If you can wait a day or two, email is great!
Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the cabins. Please dispose of your all cigarette butts in outdoor trash receptacle.
Please treat our space with respect, as we have tried to create the best experience possible for you and would like to provide the same for all guests in the future. We want you to play and adventure and enjoy your vacation! We just ask that you do all of these things with care :)
If your pet is joining you, please do not allow them on any of the beds.
In respect of other nearby folks, please no loud and late parties.
I grew up in the much rockier Rocky Mountains of Colorado, raising goats, chickens, rabbits, horses, and a rotating selection of other farm critters with my parents and my younger sister.
I moved to North Carolina in 2009 and have spent much of my time gardening, studying wild edible and medicinal plants of the Appalachian Mountains, building and remodeling, and raising and milking a few more rogue goats. I live just outside of Hot Springs on a sunny hillside with my husband Andrew and daughter Chloe.
I love to welcome folk to Hot Springs and the surrounding area, so don't hesitate to ask me for hiking recommendations, the inside scoop on local swimming holes, or where to find homemade Appalachian crafts!
