Cozy home in the middle of 70 acres of woods and on the banks of the tranquil upper Choptank River. Stone wood burning fireplace. Two story great room. Screened porch and deck with views of the river. Deep fresh water and pier for swimming.
A long quiet sandy dirt road takes you down to the river where our 3 bedroom, 2 bath house sits surrounded by 70 acres of trees. A stone fireplace offers warmth and ambiance in a comfy two-story great room with dining area and open kitchen. Enjoy cookouts and cocktails in the screened porch or on a large deck with views of the river. Sit in the sun and swim off the pier in deep fresh water (no nettles). Your dog can jump into the river right from the bank. Take a kayak up or down river to bird watch (blue heron, white egrets, ospreys and ducks are everywhere) and explore the tiny tributaries that take you deep into wooded spots where the birds nest. End your day with an outdoor shower (available April - Oct) with views of the woods.
The whole house is available to you. On the first floor are two bedrooms – one with a queen bed and the other with a double bed – and a shared full bathroom. On the second floor is the master bedroom suite with a queen bed, walk-in closet, and full bath. The entire house is wired for sound and connected to a CD player (there is no radio or TV) so bring your CD's. A stacked washing machine and dryer are on the first floor.
We are available by phone and email in case you have questions.
