There is an excellent (but not rowdy) pub next door with a very friendly landlord, Richard, who is happy for you to park in his car park. The food there is usually delicious and we encourage you to drop in for a drink or meal at least once during your stay, especially if you use the car park, as a way of thanking him for the free parking space. Lovely pub garden and petanque court too.
Pets are allowed by arrangement, but for the comfort of future guests, pets are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture downstairs. We are sure you will do your best to look after Mallard Cottage and its contents. If you do break something by accident please let us know so that it can be fixed in time for future guests or just replace it yourself if it is a small item.
No smoking is allowed in the cottage please.
There are supplies of basic provisions in the kitchen which you are welcome to use. If you notice that something is running particularly low please replace it so that it is fair for everybody.
Please show consideration to our neighbours, particularly if returning late at night.
