Despite the flooding in Toronto this year, the summer season is on! Access to the Island is not a problem, and it's a tranquil oasis at the moment!
Get away from the city - just a 15 min boat ride away!
A very sweet, wooden bungalow on Ward's Island with a slanted-ceiling, second-floor loft bedroom. Two bedrooms in total, plus a spare single for guests. It is open concept on the ground floor, and has a washer/dryer, dishwasher, claw-foot bathtub, gas fireplace and a large yard with a year-round BBQ. There is wifi internet connection and movie-watching capabilities, but no cable TV. Who needs television when surrounded by such gorgeous parkland?
There are no shops on the Toronto Island, so you must come prepared with your own groceries. Full access to kitchen and appliances. Access to the island is by ferry only, and last boat to the island is approximately 11:30pm. But water taxis are also available. Ferry docks are minutes from Union Station in downtown Toronto. Parking lots are just east of the Ferry Docks. No cars allowed on the island.
I am available by phone if you have any questions about the house or the city, but I generally like to give my guests some privacy, so you won't see a lot of me!
I am looking for conscientious guests who will respect my neighbors, as we live in close proximity. No excessive noise after 11pm, please.
Absolutely no smoking indoors. Dogs o.k., sorry- no cats. Please pick up after your dog in the yard, and the neighborhood.
