FernyBrook Cottage is a quaint and cosy, timber-lined mountain chalet cottage, located right next to Purling Brook Falls and the walking trails and magnificent views of Springbrook World Heritage National Park; plus the cottage's peaceful rain-forest gardens and babbling brook provide a haven for bird life and nature study. The Cottage is fully self contained with a cosy wood fire (wood supplied) and reverse cycle air conditioning for those chilly nights and a comfy queens sized bed upstairs.
FernyBrook Cottage is fully self contained with a cosy wood fire (wood supplied) and reverse cycle air conditioning for those chilly nights. There is a comfy queens sized bed upstairs and the kitchen, bathroom (with shower/bath, washing machine and dryer) and living area are downstairs. A large, covered, sunny, back deck with a barbeque provides the perfect outdoor space for relaxation and bird feeding or for simply observing nature to the sounds and sights of the many brightly coloured parrots that feed from the seed trays on the verandah and in the garden. The cottage is set in a beautiful rainforest garden which leads down to an arched timber bridge over our own secluded creek and mini waterfall; providing a perfect place for meditation and quiet reflection.
Guests have access to all the cottage facilities and our beautiful gardens in complete privacy. For your indoor entertainment there is a large selection of books, games, DVDs, and a flat screen TV .... or if you prefer you can just relax with a sherry in front of the fire. The nights at Springbrook are so quiet and the stars are so bright that we suggest you take a torch lit walk to see how different the night sky is away from the bright lights of the Gold Coast....plus you may also spot the little nocturnal animals that come out to feed.
The cottage is our holiday cottage and has a personal and friendly feel. Where possible, we are flexible with check-in and check-out times, so please do not hesitate to ring if you have any inquiries, or if you require an immediate or short-notice booking confirmation. We will accommodate you as best we can.
The Cottage is fully self contained with a well stocked pantry (not including fresh food) and has all those little extra items to make your stay enjoyable. The local cafes and general store have a good selection of meals, however the nearest super markets are at Nerang and Mudgeerabah.

When you come to visit Springbrook, please keep in mind that mountain weather can be cooler and wetter than on the coast so it's advisable to pack in some warm clothes, wet weather gear, suitable hiking shoes and a torch for night walking.
Also please note there is no petrol on the mountain, so you will need to ensure you have adequate fuel for your journey, with the nearest petrol stations also being at Nerang and Mudgeerabah. Please note that the only access to Springbrook is via Pine Creek Road either from Nerang or Route 42 from Mudgeerabah, as the Mudgeerabah/Springbrook road is presently closed for repair after its devastation by Cyclone Debbie.
Telstra Mobile phones receive the best reception at Springbrook. You may need to go to high points or lookouts if you have trouble receiving mobile connections with other servers. There is a public phone at the Springbrook General Store nearby.
We love our little cottage ask that you quietly respect and care for our property and wildlife for the enjoyment of us all.
