Cathy, her husband,and her son-in-law greeted us even though we arrived late. They were very nice and helped us settle in to the cottage. Cathy told us to let her know if we needed anything during our stay. Well, not only had she provided a wonderful and immaculate cottage, but everything else we might need . We brought plenty of food that was a pleasure to prepare in the spacious well supplied kitchen. Each meal was enjoyed in the screened in porch that had a panoramic view of the islands and mountains. I have been bringing my adult children to this area since each turned three, and they all agreed this was the best all around experience they ever had here. We have been coming to this area for 12 years together and my husband since he was a small kid. I have to say I have never felt so at home away from home. Cathy is warm and welcoming and loves to make a person feel wanted and welcome and make sure everyone has a good time, while also being polite and just letting you know she is there if you need her and not if you do not. We very much enjoyed staying here and spending some time getting to know Cathy and her family. It has been hands down one of our best vacations in the area and Cathy and her family are a huge part of why! I just felt at home and We just can not say how much we enjoyed the entire trip. We were sad to leave but will be back soon. :)

Drinking my morning coffee on the patio, listening to the birds, and looking out over a calm McGregor Bay with the Cloche range in the background. I wish I could do that every morning. We enjoyed 6 days of good fishing, lots of animals, swam, paddled and jumped off rocks. The lodge itself is incredible. It felt like being transported back to a more minimalistic Muskoka. Darwin was a great host. We had the full rundown of what was there and what we should bring before heading out. I'd love to go back next year.

We enjoyed our stay at Pricilla's appartment very much. She is a great host and our room was very clean, calm and comfortable. It was great that she allowed us to fully use her kitchen. The surrounding is very quiet and the beach is not far away.

We stayed 2 nights here on Manatoulin Island. Sue and Rich's home is delightful, spacious, comfortable ad spotless. Our breakfast was very welcome.. we loved the location by the lake , but also not far from town for meals and shops. Definitely to be recommended. We felt very welcome but also our privacy was respected. We would have liked to have stayed longer.

Host is great. The view is amazing. The place is beautiful, clean and well maintained. Probably one of the best b and b's.

Sue is really friendly and welcoming, and full of info about the area. You have the whole basement area - so lounge, a bathroom and bedroom and even your own entrance. Sue was on hand for anything we needed but you also get your own space. Spotlessly clean with a really lovely breakfast, towels provided, great location and even a super comfy bed :) Great stay.

Chris was an absolutely great host!!.... and we were happy to be his first AirBnB guests! :-) The space is lovely, with amazing views, and crystal clean water in the North Channel~ that you can jump into and go for a swim ~ right in front of your apartment! (Don't let the boat-harbour trick you!... very little movement of boats.. and sparkling clean water!!... the "current" keeps it pristine!! The apartment is well-stocked with necessities, and we loved our stay!! The huge deck overlooking the channel is a fantastic place to watch the incredible sunsets!! Highly Recommend!!

Chris's loft was the ideal location to stay in Little Current. It was very tidy, had plenty of towels/blankets/pillows etc. for the group of 5 of us staying there. He has all the basic kitchen utensils you'd need for making a cup of coffee or meals. The built in speaker system and hot tub were definite pluses as well! He was super accommodating with our arrival and departure times which we appreciated. I'd definitely recommend a stay at Chris's loft

Chris' loft is right in the heart of downtown Little Current, convenient to everything, with a spectacular view of the swing bridge. The deck is amazing for relaxing, watching the water. The beds are super comfortable and the loft is very clean. Would definitely come back. In fact, we plan on it as I have family in Little Current, so I've stayed a lot of places around this town, and this by far is one of the best accommodations.

This was our first time using Air B&B as a family. What a great host, great accommodations and a great destination. Only wish we had booked an extra day when we could have. A couple of finishing touches are in the works, but it was a really comfortable space and a terrific home base to explore the island, relax in the fresh air and soak in an amazing view. Chris was responsive to any questions and requests and an all around nice guy. Ask him about the day cruises he runs to Kilarney; we had a great time.

We had a fun and restorative stay at Willow Shores, thanks to Charlene's warmth and great recommendations. The property itself is gorgeous and we took advantage of the kayaks to get out on the lake a while. Charlene provided a delicious breakfast and was very knowledgeable about places to visit or eat on the island. Highly recommend!

Our hosts Charlene & Gord were excellent. They were more than accommodating of our arrival time after the last ferry (after 10pm), and immediately made us feel like family. The room, house and bathroom were sparkling clean & everything was provided from extra pillows to floss. Breakfast might as well have been lunch! Serving sizes were generous and held us well into our days, not to mention tasty, my husband has even asked for some recipes. We also think that the other guests staying there were also very pleasant and we are certain this has to do with the atmosphere that Charlene & Gord promote. Being our first time to the island, it was important for us to be able to have our questions answered and Charlene was most knowledgeable, prepared with maps to direct us to the sites we should experience, as well as good information about the roads and what we should expect. The grounds were picturesque, and perfect for relaxation should someone choose to stay in rather than venture out on any day. Our experience in Manitowaning was exceptional and we have no doubt this was in large part to where we stayed. Thank you Charlene & Gord (& Sophie), we miss it already! When we come back there is no question as to where will be staying.

Charlene took considerable time orienting us to their home, our room and the outside opportunities. Both Charlene and husband Gord were warm, welcoming and personable. We were invited to use their family room, television, kitchen fridge as if we were family members. Our room was beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and a basket of toiletries in case we had forgotten to bring something. Charlene and her husband were wonderful hosts, making us feel very welcome in their home right from the beginning. Canoeing was fun and breakfast was tasty and seasonal (fresh apple pancakes)!

The location was great, exactly what we were looking for, remote and quiet with a great view. We enjoyed the Deck and in the evening the little Fireplace ( and the hundreds of fireflies in the high grass). We did't not read the need to bring our own linens and pillows , but George solved that problem for us somewhat. Instead of what we heared before we left from Europe to Canada that it would be Mosquitoe season , there were only very, very few Mosquitoes here. Though, we think the Property itself was bad maintained. Inside the Cabin it wasn't clean, there were Mouse Droppings in the Kitchendrawers, there was Dust and Litter on the floor, Windowcoverings that were broken-down and outdoor there was much Lumber/ Rubble around the Cabin, at the Lakeside and at the floor of the Outdoorshower. It's a pitty we could not bring our own Kayak or Canoe (they are not available at the Cabin) because it would have been nice on the lake and very quiet to, saw only a few boats during the weekend We stayed.

We were provided all appropriate information and more. Contacting the owner though email gave us many opportunities to ask questions and get speedy responses. A few day prior to our arrival we received a detailed email on directions, key access and businesses near by. The cabin is perfect. Rustic yet with many of life's modern nessesities. If you are looking for a peaceful get away without the constant boat/car traffic of cottage country, hands down this is the place.

la cabine de George sur l'île Manitoulin était parfait! L'emplacement est à couper le souffle avec de belles vues sur le lac depuis chaque chambre et une grande terrasse avec barbecue grill. Nous avons adoré en profitant de la fosse de feu sur la plage et le kayak de mer disponibles. La douche extérieure était génial et ayant une laverie disponibles était très pratique! Si vous êtes à la recherche d'un endroit rustique et isolée dans le lac qui a encore beaucoup de ammentiites cela est vivement! George était super de travailler avec et a donné d'excellents instructions pour tout ce dont nous avions besoin de savoir sur la cabine ainsi que très rapide pour répondre à toutes mes questions. Nous nous sommes arrêtés à sa cabine pour 2 nuits au cours de notre voyage sur la route du Minnesota autour des Grands Lacs et il fait très sans stress et accommodant! Side note, planifier à l'avance pour toute nourriture ou l'épicerie comme la plupart des magasins et des restaurants à proximité entre 18 heures-20 heures! cabine fantastique, serait la plus retournerais! Merci George!

George était vraiment facile de travailler avec, a donné beaucoup de grande information, et a répondu rapidement à toutes les questions. La cabine est rustique (comme décrit) mais il est confortable et a beaucoup de caractère. L'emplacement est calme et privé avec une vue imprenable. Il y avait quelques voisins autour, mais je peine vu ou entendu d'eux. J'ai vraiment apprécié la cuisine avec la vieille fonte sur la cuisinière à gaz. La douche extérieure était une expérience unique. Ce pourrait être une bonne idée d'apporter un ventilateur ou deux s'il est vraiment chaud. Il était un bon endroit pour se détendre et une base de départ décent pour excursions d'une journée pour explorer Manitoulin. Merci George!

nous avons eu un très bon séjour au chalet rustique. nous sommes arrivés dans le noir autour de 22: 00H, mais George était très utile de répondre à nos questions en envoyant. le lever du soleil était absolument magnifique ... nous avons apprécié l'endroit isolé, le livre sur la Première nation ojibway tribu, le beau lac froid pour se rafraîchir et la douche extérieure était une expérience fabuleuse! le plus de l'ancienne glacière de la mode, il est un bon réfrigérateur fonctionne. le nouveau pont était ensoleillé et au-dessus de sol, parfait pour le petit déjeuner et tard dans la nuit des pourparlers autour d'une bougie. le dossier avec des sentiers à proximité de l'île était source d'inspiration pour lire et nous avons apprécié le sentier Bridal Veil Falls. nous avions besoin d'aide avec quelque chose, mais malheureusement, la personne, appelée par George, jamais arrivé. si vous pouvez voir à travers le fait que la cabine est de base, lorsque vous ne vous dérange pas les quelques gras bouilloire, casseroles et poêles, et vous laissez-vous envoûter par la vue et l'atmosphère, il est l'endroit à être!

Looks like a basic place, but it has all you need. George let us borrow his kayak too, which the kids really enjoyed. George's set of instructions are very complete.

We got there pretty late, but the cottage was already warm for us. The house was lovely and the information the host provided for us was pretty useful. Private house facing the lake, very very quiet. Love it! We definitely would be back again!

Our host welcomed us warmly and made us feel very much at home. Our room was excellent and we enjoyed using the porch in the evening to read. Other rooms in the house were available to us i.e. tv watching and tea in the kitchen. We found a good breakfast at a local restaurant with our host's help.
