아라리오 갤러리가 운영하는 뮤지엄. 미술관 자체가 대단한 작품입니다. 우리나라 현대 건축의 거장 김수근의 작품입니다. 2002년 착공해 1977년 구사옥(구권+신관)을 완성했습니다. 2002년에는 구사옥과 신사옥 중간에 한옥을 지었습니다.
2013년 '공간' 그룸이 부도를 맞으면서 아라리오가 매입해 현재 미술관으로 바뀌었습니다.

산의 높이는 262m이며, 목멱산·인경산·마뫼로도 불렸다. 동쪽의 낙산, 서쪽의 인왕산, 북쪽의 북악산과 함께 서울의 중앙부를 둘러싸고 있습니다.
조선 태조 때 능선을 따라 도성을 축성했으나 현재는 성곽의 일부만 남아 있습니다. 남산타워라고도 하는 N서울타워는 산정에 솟아 있는 높이 236.7m의 송신탑으로 사방으로 펼쳐진 서울의 시가지를 조망할 수 있는 전망대와 휴식·관광시설이 잘 갖추어져 있습니다. 총면적 2,971㎢의 남산 일대가 시립공원으로 지정되었습니다.
1990년부터 서울특별시의 ‘남산 제모습찾기 종합계획’이 추진되면서 남산의 옛 모습 복원을 통해 남산의 역사적 위상과 자연경관을 회복하는 동시에 시민 휴식 공간으로써의 기능을 하고 있습니다.
남산의 명소는 N서울타워·팔각정·장충단공원·남산케이블카·야생화원 등 다양합니다.
