Head up to Glacier Point early to beat the traffic! We also like going up for a sunset picnic- in the summer Half Dome will light up pink at sunset!

Head up the Mist Trail for a challenging but rewarding hike past Vernal and Nevada Falls. Take the John Muir Trail back to save your knees!

There are several spots to enter this trail but all offer a shaded path to a waterfall. This one is great for those really hot days in the summer. Bring bug spray!

Trailhead is about 45 minutes from the cabin and is about a 1/2 day hike. It's steep but you're not going to battle the crowds along the trail or for a parking space! You'll pass roaring rapids, alpine meadows, and get granite dome views as you climb up the mountain side.
Reward yourself with an ice cream from the Pine Tree market on your way back into town!
