The Devonport is a lovely pub (one of my favourites) situated in the stunning little harbour town of Kingsands. The food by their French chef is exceptional and far exceeds normal pub grub. A must visit, serving a good selection of Cornish ale and wine. Dog and child friendly. Drive the coastal path through Downderry and along the top of Whitsand Bay, the views are magnificent.

The Waves Bar is a wine bar / coffee shop in Seaton, about 5 minutes drive from the cottage, with fabulous views across the beach and over to Looe Island. Waves also serves light snacks and I believe there is a restaurant upstairs that serves lunch and dinner but I have not eaten there, although I know lots of people that do and say the food is good. Serves a good selection of Cornish ale. Worth visiting on a lovely sunny evening for a drink or to watch the sun set. Inside and outside seating available. Dog and child friendly (as is the beach).

Fabulous place serving great value cocktails to kick off your night in Looe. Also serves pizza, but this really isn't a patch on Mama J's.

Food Scene
The Copley Arms is our local village pub, situated alongside the very pretty Hessenford stream which is very nice to sit outside and enjoy in the summer. The Copley is approximately 15 to 20 minutes walk from the cottage, or drivable in about 3 minutes. It is child and dog friendly and serves fabulous local ale and good pub food. Every Thursday is usually quiz night and once a month there is a live band.

A great family run café with fabulous views across the harbour. Inside and outside seating. Dog and child friendly, although Looe beach is not dog friendly between May and October, but Hannafore beach over on West Looe is pooch friendly all year round.
