No place in the world can be so magic. An ancient abbey of monks, an ancient tower, a beautiful garden, a superb and deep bay, a wooded and steep mountain behind, two small beaches, luminous green and calm water, a statue of Christ located on sea bed to be discovered snorkeling. What you can dream more? Although it is reachable hiking through the wonderful park and down from the mountain from Camogli and Rapallo, for the fist time suggest the ferry from Camogli or Portofino. The view entering the deep bay from the sea is breathtaking. www.golfoparadiso.it Suggest to visit the museum inside the Abbey and eat in the smaller beach aside in the restaurant La Cantina.

A must visit

The small fishing village of Portofino, right on the Italian Riviera, is a devastatingly beautiful travel destination—that writers and historians have long celebrated—and frolicked in. Portofino's spectacular scenery ranges from the hair-raising—to the calm and tranquil.

In 1880, the former fishing village had, in a population of 12,000, 500 registered as ship captains. Camogli now relies mainly on tourism and is known for its colorful houses that line the beach. The house colors once helped the fishermen of Camogli find the way back to their port. This is my Home Town :-)

A Ligurian fishing village-turned-coastal-resort, Santa Margherita is located on perhaps the most famous stretch of the Riviera. With chic Portofino a short stroll to the south and buzzy Rapallo to the north, Santa Margherita offers all the best parts of the Riviera, but with slightly less footfall.

City/town information

Chiavari is well worth a visit. And not a short one! The old part of the city is very interesting with most of the streets pedestrian zones so it's very easy to stroll through the area under the colonnades or on the street itself. Chiavari has a nice walking street for shopping
