This is my go-to place for breakfast. It is a family-owned corner diner and while it gets only 4 stars on Yelp, I always find the service friendly and attentive. My coffee cup is never empty. I am partial to the La Bamba skillet. The chorizo is one of the spiciest I can get in the neighborhood. The children love the Mickey Mouse pancakes.

An Americanized version of Mexican food, that is half-way between Taco Bell and the real deal. The two main reasons I go there are that the chorizo is spicier than most places and the cost is very reasonable for the amount of food.

A warm weather favorite where there is always something happening. The park's centerpiece is the Jay Pritzker Pavilion - an outdoor venue for many major music and film events during the summer. At the northern of the park, take in some performing arts at Harris Theater Take in a stunning view of the park from 935-foot long bridge that connects the park with Maggie Park; another great family destination full of activities for children. Stop to view the famous "Cloud Gate" sculpture (aka "The Bean". It is a three-story reflective steel structure where visitors walk under, and around while taking photos of the striking reflections. Another piece of public artwork is Crown Fountain, a video sculpture created from a black granite reflecting pool situated between two glass brick towers. LEDs display digital videos so that it seems water is flowing from the faces’ mouths. Nearly 1,000 Chicagoans appear on the screens at random. At the southern tip of the park, Laurie Garden spans 2.5 acres featuring of perennials, bulbs, shrubs and shaded trees.

This is probably my favorite place to visit in Chicago. If you are into learning about the history of life, and have to read every description (like I do), you can not possibly see this entire place in a single day.
