Wow! Great eats here at this gem. I had the Caribbean Roast Pork shoulder coated in marinade and slow-roasted until it falls into succulent morsels. As the menu describes it, a wonderful sandwich. Moist with enough spices to keep your mouth happy and watering for more. Huge portion too. I ate half of my sandwich and grudgingly gave the other half to my son, who had already consumed his full Caribbean roast pork shoulder sandwich. Five stars times five stars and I will be back the next time I'm in the Seattle area.

The thought of their perfect croissant just brings a smile to my face. There is no other Cafe like Cafe Besalu. It's no surprise that there is always a line wrapped around the block on the weekends. I have had friends from France visit and claim that the croissant at Besalu is better than any they've had in France. I can vouch that I haven't tasted anything better either

Amaaaazing pastries. Everything was so good. Got a combo of sweet and savory things and loved them all. If you've got a sweet tooth like me - the Bismarck is the way to go...a custard filled donut with chocolate frosting. Sooooo good. Also the turkey havarti croissant was great but have a napkin on hand cause the croissants are the flakiest mothers but in a good way. Love this spot.

If you've got a sweet tooth like me - the Bismarck is the way to go...a custard filled donut with chocolate frosting. Sooooo good. Also the turkey havarti croissant was great but have a napkin on hand cause the croissants are the flakiest mothers but in a good way. Love this spot.
I ordered Alla boscaiola. Very good taste, the texture of cheeses are wonderful. Eggs match well with the potato pork sauce. The flavor is nice, perfect for having with bread. But the portion is a little bit small. The pancetta with salad is good too. Bacon was crispy. It's a small and busy restaurant. Waitress was friendly.

1418 NW 70th StI ordered Alla boscaiola. Very good taste, the texture of cheeses are wonderful. Eggs match well with the potato pork sauce. The flavor is nice, perfect for having with bread. But the portion is a little bit small. The pancetta with salad is good too. Bacon was crispy. It's a small and busy restaurant. Waitress was friendly.
I LOVE biscuit and bean, fresh biscuits, great gravy, they use Uli's sausages, that's a recipe for success! The market is probably my most favorite sandwich (the tomato jam in it is delicious!). Sausage gravy is really good. It's always super busy on weekends(expect a 5ish min wait to order) but I have always dined in and found a table before my order came up. They also have a drive thru window. That said, I wouldn't recommend carrying sandwiches home, they don't taste as good when cold and reheating biscuits just makes them a soggy mess (learnt it the hard way).

My husband always enjoys going to Stoup. It was crowded but we are able to find a spot to sit and enjoy our tasters. Very popular spot. They had a food truck out front if you wanted something to eat.

Order your beer up front, no cash, card only, there are some seating areas up front but going out back is way better. A lot of shared picnic tables to sit at, pretty good amount of seating, some games like corn hole to play, certain nights they play movies too.
There are some food options, since Mean Sandwich is next door, they cut a hole in the fence and they have a little window to order from. Also Cycle Dogs has their food truck parked in the back on a more permanent basis.

It's a tiny, serene little place, basically right on top of Golden Gardens, perfect for a sunset or lunch picnic. I just love coming here, plus, it's rarely, rarely crowded, if you even see another soul staying a while.

The Seattle area offers so many beautiful coastline parks along the Puget Sound with this one being one of the best. There are short easy trails, my suggestion is to start counterclockwise. Make your way to the bluff trail so you end up with the water views while heading downhill toward the beach. There is quite a bit of parking which is unusual but probably gets rather full during the summer. The trains make for a cool surprise and some of them stretch all the way down the coast! I cannot wait to return to see the baby seals in early fall (September).
