Very close to our home, this is a great starting place to begin your walk to Ciudad Vieja (old city). Although not the most direct, this plaza walks you past the courthouse of Uruguay. If you cross the street they often feature photos of this plaza through the ages, as it has always been a center for the city. Make sure to stop by the Mercado de Los Artesanos (Craftsmen Market) next to the square to pick up some very special souvenirs.
