Stauff’s has a lot of cool flavored coffees and blends and is dog friendly, on the patio for sure but I think inside as well.

Actually located in Harrison West, it’s a quick drive or uber ride to the other side of downtown. They have amazing pancake balls and Huevos Rancheros. There’s usually quite a wait on weekends and it’s a very small place so we usually recommend getting it as a takeout option. Katalina’s is dog friendly on the patio.

World Famous for the ‘Thurman Burger’ this lunch spot is just one block away on Thurman Ave. Kind of a ‘dive’ but very popular for burgers and wings. Was featured on Man vs. Food!

Olde Mohawk is on the other side of the park, so a walkable lunch destination. They are known for their turtle soup and extremely outdated décor, but it’s a great mom and pop establishment with ‘home cooked’ food.

Their salads and North Star Veggie burger are my personal favorites. If you like Mediterranean, the owners of this restaurant also own Brassica, which is a chipotle-style build your own bowl place down the street. It’s good for a quick lunch and it’s SO yummy.

Lindey’s is an upscale dinner place on Mohawk st. Technically walking distance, but probably uber distance in Ohio winter weather. They use a lot of local ingredients and have an amazing chef. Matt and I do our anniversary dinner here every year.

Super convenient, the south village grille is just on the corner of Thurman and Jaeger, caddy corner from Fox in the Snow. They have excellent salads and fish dishes, and I’ve heard their chicken sandwich is delicious.

My all-time favorite place for cocktails in the city. It’s walking distance on South High st. Owned by Seventh Son (see breweries list) they specialize in sour beers and fancy cocktails. Awesome ambiance, bit of an older, calmer crowd.

This is the ultimate ‘party bar.’ They have over 50 beers on tap usually and lots of big screen TVs to watch whatever game might be on that day. Pint House is in the Short North Arts District, so a fairly young crowd that gets pretty rowdy after 10pm.

Walking distance between front st. and high st. just a few blocks West. This is a gastropub that is great for sports-spectating. We watch the NCAA basketball tournament from this bar pretty religiously.
