Very beautiful beach with long coastline. Many restaurants, bars , kids entertainment. Showers, changing rooms, Sun Eda and umbrellas.
We live this beach as it’s very easy accessible-there’s a bike path, walkway, road with 2 big Parking’s-depends if you wanna go via surfers places or public beach.
Lifeguards on patrol and people are always around.

Praia da Areia Branca

Lot’s of fishermen, crab catchers, so fresh fish is guaranteed.
Very nice restaurant on the top of the main road serving local speciality-snails.

Porto Dinheiro
Cosy small beach with natural pools ( on the rocks) which are usually filled with water to enjoy the benefits of pool but with salty water.
Lot’s of fishermen, crab catchers, so fresh fish is guaranteed.
Very nice restaurant on the top of the main road serving local speciality-snails.
Very natural pebble stone beach with not so many people so good chance to find a spot( lagoon, bay) just for yourself.
On the right side of the parking you can find fisherman’s restaurant which serves the best mussels ( our personal opinion).
Great spot to see sunset when you go around The fisherman’s/restaurant spot.
The hill to go out is very steep so be careful with driving.

Porto das Barcas beach
75 Estr. Porto das BarcasVery natural pebble stone beach with not so many people so good chance to find a spot( lagoon, bay) just for yourself.
On the right side of the parking you can find fisherman’s restaurant which serves the best mussels ( our personal opinion).

Parking might be difficult during the weekends or evenings as it’s just small place with a steep hill.

Beautiful place to visit/walk/swim or simply roam around-calm and wavy beaches-depends which side you opt for, surfing schools, kiting, great views, tasty food.
We been told in the winter time the tiny road is flooded especially if the weather is windy.
Park at the big parking as enter the mini island is only for residents.
Just go around to see tiny, mini beach, cool cliffs and you can climb up to the higher spot of the cliff.
There’s a bike path along if you prefer to cycle around.

Baleal Island
Beautiful place to visit/walk/swim or simply roam around-calm and wavy beaches-depends which side you opt for, surfing schools, kiting, great views, tasty food.
We been told in the winter time the tiny road is flooded especially if the weather is windy.
Park at the big parking as enter the mini island is only for residents.
Just go around to see tiny, mini beach, cool cliffs and you can climb up to the higher spot of the cliff.
There’s a bike path along if you prefer to cycle around.

We live the building of the school-pity it’s dilapidated as it’s soooo beautiful.
The famous pottery shop is just above the park.
The city Centre is nice to roam around many coffee shops, restaurants, shops...
There’re mineral springs and the spa/rehabilitation center -just follow the sulfur smell but we never tried it.

Another of our favorites as you feel you’re at Asia!
Amazing garden/park with many sculptures, art work, animals and things to see. You can easily spend 1/2 day here. Just keep in mind there’s only 2 places with toilets and the garden is quite huge.
The coffee shop serves drinks and sweets, so get ready before the trip.
You can get nice souvenirs and wine at the souvenir shop.
Beautiful place for picnic or just chill out, you need comfy shoes as it’s hilly area.

Another of our favorites as you feel you’re at Asia!
Amazing garden/park with many sculptures, art work, animals and things to see. You can easily spend 1/2 day here. Just keep in mind there’s only 2 places with toilets and the garden is quite huge.

You can get nice souvenirs and wine at the souvenir shop.
