From iconic sandy beaches to intimate sheltered coves, Cornwall’s 300+ beaches are gloriously varied. Dog friendly, family friendly, golden, pebbly, bustling or blissfully empty – we love them all! Get out in the surf at Fistral Beach, dip your toe in turquoise waters at Porthcurno or hunt for crabs at Treyarnon Bay. It's easy to see why we think they are some of the best in the world!
The beach's of Whitsand Bay offer over three miles of stunning sand from Rame Head to Portwrinkle and are considered one of Cornwall’s hidden gems. Reached by steep paths and steps that wind down between the verdant vegitation, these beaches are never crowded. At low tide the long stretches of glistening sand provides great walking or jogging opportunities, whilst the constant swell keeps surfers happy riding some huge waves.
Rock pools dotted along the beach reveal fascinating marine life, and out to sea the bay is a popular dive site, home to HMS Scylla, an ex-naval frigate sunk in 2004 to form an artificial reef.

Whitsand Bay

The two villages are part of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park and are within the Rame Peninsula, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Sightseeing
As well as stunning views across the peninsula you will find an amazing array of wildlife, look out for kestrals, buzzards and sparrow hawks using the cliff thermals. In the bay we have an extraordinary variety of marine life that visit us from time to time including dolphins, sea lions and basking sharks.
For those who love surfing and watersports you will be delighted with the quality of surf that is thrown upon this rugged part of the Cornish coastline. We’re blessed with beautiful beaches in this area, beach time is family time and you can bank on many hours of fun by playing sports, building sand castles and just generally relaxing with the people you love most.
