Downtown Collingwood is less than a 10 minute walk. It has the finest restaurants and shops, as well as cafes. Check out:
Gibson and Company - best coffee in town and is also a whiskey bar with light snacks. Very hip and trendy.
Espresso Post - very good coffee with great sandwiches and baked goods, all made in house.
Baked & Pickled - Authentic Mexican, casual, order your food and sit down and eat. Open 11 - 6 pm every day.
Low Down Bar - a new addition to Collingwood - Bar and snacks with an asian fusion twist. Very good mocktails as well!
Bent Taco - a local favourite that everyone goes to, make sure to get a reservation. Very difficult to get in on a weekend.
Azzurra Trattoria - Fine dining Italian.
Tesoro Restaurant - Italian and excellent food. Small and reservations recommended.
Crow Bar & Variety - Home made great food with live music at night.
Public Skating in town: There are a couple of spots but very close to our house is Central Park Arena, you can walk and there is a indoor change room. Look up ice rinks Collingwood for times.
YMCA: Same location at skating rink at Central Park. Check out:
