This is the hip and trendy area of Puerto Vallarta. The Malecon (ocean-side boardwalk) is located here. It's a great neighborhood to walk around, do some shopping, eating, and enjoying a stroll by the sea!

This is the LGBTQ+ hot spot of Vallarta, but you'll find something here for everyone! Great taco stands, great clubs, great restaurants, a Saturday market for great food and shopping and so much more! It's a bustling part of the city but there's so much to do! Definitely pencil out some time to spend over here! To get here - take a cheap uber, or you can take any of the buses heading towards town, they will all terminate in the Romantic Zone.

The bus system is relatively easy to navigate! 10 pesos
There are buses that run the length of Vallarta. There are two main lines - centro and tunel. The Centro buses travel through cinco de deciembre and the tunel travel up the mountain and through the tunels avoiding centro. They all terminate at Zona Romantica, and go to either the Marina, Pitillal, Fluvial or beyond!
