Wineries & Cellar Doors: Heifer Station is a great start - for adults and children alike! Great wine and awesome atmosphere but the crowds on weekends can get pretty full on! Try Swinging Bridge wines, Nashdale Lane, Philip Shaw, Printhie, Ross Hill and De Salis. There is a great wine bar in town on Hill Street called Ferment where you can try many of Orange's finest tipples and also a great selection of Australian and international wines and beers. The hatted fine-dining restaurant Lolli Redini closed for COVID - but they recently opened a more casual eatery called Birdie Noshery & Drinking Est. and its open from breakfast to late - lovely wines, cocktails and snacks. Be sure to book though as it gets full quickly. For lunch and dinner try the Union Bank or the Parkview Hotel (a pub where all the locals go) There are two great Japanese restaurants - Raku and also Mr Sushi King and a Korean/Chinese restaurant called Mr Lim which is famous for late night Karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays. Lots of fun! More finer-dining options includes Charred Restaurant, plus there is TONIC in the nearby historic village of Millthorpe if you feel like a drive! Make sure you check out Spilt Milk Gelato Bar for after dinner ice cream made from all natural (and local where possible) ingredients - it rivals the best gelaterias in Sydney and beyond! For coffee, Monday to Friday, Good Eddy on Lords Place is hard to go past (we supply them with our avocados and oranges!) but on weekends try Academy Coffee by Omar in Woodward St, Hawkes General Store and also Bills Beans East Orange. Byng St Local Store is also a local institution. Retail therapy? Our top picks are The Sonic in Sale St, The White Place on Byng St and Hawkes General Store - just to name a few. They don't open on Sundays though so make sure you get in early on Saturday mornings as they tend to enjoy their weekend as well! For the foodies there is also an Essential Ingredient, plus on McNamara St there is a wonderful organic grocer, called The Grocer & Co - we supply our Narromine oranges and other produce there - Nathan and Maddy will always help you out. Harris Farm Markets is also in the middle of town and in the same complex there is an amazing artisan cured meats store called Cured, plus a boutique bottle shop called The Lane Cellars - you can get everything you need if you're cooking and entertaining at home. Nearby there is a fab sourdough bakery called Racine Bakery - again only open Monday - Saturday so don't leave it to Sunday to get your pastries and bread!
