This is the local bar. Open late, good bar food. They run specials most weeks nights - wing night etc, you know the drill. The buffalo fried chicken sandwich is a favorite of mine! You can walk here if you don't mind a 10 minute walk.

This is the local shopping mall. Small, upscale shopping mall with great restaurants and a small movie theatre.

This seems silly to include but I will anyway. It is like any other Marshalls or TJX company store. If you forgot running shorts or socks or any other clothing item and want to grab it quickly, this would be your best shot.

Food Scene
This is our favorite pasta restaurant in Pittsburgh. It is small and located in a strip mall, but very charming! Ask for Christin, she is the best server. BYOB - don't forget to bring a bottle of wine.

This is the best Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh, debatably the best restaurant in Pittsburgh period - definitely my favorite. Make a reservation as far in advance as possible. Not the best area but the restaurant is beautiful and charming inside. A little more pricey than most options in Pittsburgh but absolutely worth it.

Great tex-mex food. All local and fresh ingredients. Great selection of beers on tap. Open later than most restaurants so it is a good option for eating late. Dark lighting and very hip atmosphere, a lot of fun.

I add this because it is close by and they have an awesome happy hour. Before 7 their drinks and sushi is half price in the bar area in the middle of the restaurant (double check this before you go). We love the sushi!

Awesome Indian food. We order take out, not crazy about the atmosphere. Get Chicken Tikka Masala and/or Saag Paneer for pickup and you will thank me!

This is our favorite local restaurant for good food and great drinks. We love to go for martini night on Thursdays ($6 martinis). You have probably passed in coming back to the condo. The outside seating area is wonderful and very charming. Awesome burgers and crab cakes, but you can't go wrong with anything on their menu - everything is made from scratch. Nice bar inside too if you want to sit at the bar and eat there.

We love this local italian restaurant. Ask to go up to the bar area located in behind the main restaurant - There you will find a fire place and dimly lit bar and dining area. Great neapolitan pizza.

Beer store - they have a good selection and good prices as well. There is also a beer distributor within walking distance of the condo at the intersection of Banksville Road and Cochran Road, much smaller selection but more convenient in location.

Sightseeing
This is a fun place to go and see the iconic skyline of Pittsburgh. You can also take the incline up from Station Square (lots of restaurants and bars in this area as well). Both fun Pittsburgh activites.

This is the loop I like to run. This neighborhood is called Virginia Manor. Plug this in your phone GPS and you will see that it makes a loop through this neighborhood once you cross Cochran Road. It makes for a nice 3 mile run from the condo door. Give it a try!

Getting Around
This is the closest train stop to take the T into the city. Pay when you get there, less than $3. I used to walk from the condo and take the train into the city when the weather was nice to get a break from driving. It is a nice 20 minute walk.
