Culburra beach has the closest surf beaches to Nowra.
During summer both beaches are patrolled.
Penguin Head although not patrolled is a great safe place for kids and families.
Dogs are allowed on beaches, however, need to remain on leashes between 8:00am and 4:00pm, during summer.

Jervis Bay area is a short drive away and is an amazing place to visit.
